Tiger Woods' comeback will ring through the ages. Trump has promised a lot on Twitter, so it remains to be seen if Tiger will actually receive the Medal, but as of now it's been a pretty great week for the golf icon.

Trump and Woods have both spoken publicly about having played many rounds of golf together over the years and Trump praised Woods on a handful of occasions in recent years.

Trump has awarded the Presidential Medals of Freedom to seven people during his presidency. His career was derailed for almost a decade after a series of personal scandals and several back surgeries that raised doubts about whether he would ever be able to play again.

"Because of his incredible Success & Comeback in Sports (Golf) and, more importantly, LIFE, I will be presenting him with the PRESIDENTIAL MEDAL OF FREEDOM!"

It would also be helpful for people to recall and write down everything they consumed the week before getting sick. No common brand or supplier of the tainted meat has been identified yet, and the investigation is ongoing.

The president later shared a photo of the group on social media, and a Trump Organisation official noted that Woods and Nicklaus have designed courses for the company.

So far, Trump has honoured three athletes with medals of freedom: Babe Ruth, Roger Staubach and Alan Page. However, past year Woods re-established himself as a competitive golfer following a back fusion surgery.

Woods won the 2019 Masters on Sunday, ending his 11-year major-championship drought and earning renewed acclaim from around the sports world to the halls of political power and beyond.
