Akash Ambani who is the son of Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani the owner of Reliance, while Shloka Mehta is the daughter of renowned diamond merchant Russell Mehta are all set to take vows. The first of the couple's guests, which include word leaders, prominent corporate personalities, and film stars, have begun to arrive.

Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and his wife Anjali will also attend the celebrations, where Bollywood star Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao were among the early guests.

Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta's festivities are reminiscent of Chopra and Jonas's wedding, which took place in Delhi in Mumbai in December of previous year. Akash and Shloka will tie the knot in Mukesh Ambani's latest find Jio's open grounds i.e. Jio World Centre, which is located in Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC).

Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra, was seen walking into the venue, the Jio World Centre. Mukesh Ambani, his wife Nita and the bridegroom wore various shades of pink.

Former prime minister HD Deve Gowda, former British PM Tony Blair and his wife Cherie, and former United Nations secretary general Ban Ki Moon were also present at the wedding, celebrations for which are going to last over three days. The event saw performances by global artists Chris Martin of Coldplay and The Chainsmokers. Akash Ambani and Shloka Ambani were engaged in March previous year and are all set to tie the knot on March 9th, followed by two grand receptions on 10th and 11th March. From Google CEO Sundar Pichai to UN General Secretary Ban Ki-Moon - the who's who of the business, politics, sports, and entertainment worlds are expected to be present at the wedding event.
