Goals from Davinson Sanchez, Christian Eriksen and Son Heung-min helped Tottenham Hotspur overcome Leicester City 3-1 in an entertaining Premier League match at Wembley Stadium today.

Tottenham will now turn their attention to the Champions League, with the first leg of their last-16 tie against Borussia Dortmund taking place on Wednesday.

England winger Jadon Sancho, 18, who starred in Reus' absence against Hoffenheim, scoring in a 3-3 draw, will be expected to fill in again on his return to London.

"I'm so disappointed and embarrassed by it".

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino was left perplexed in the first half by Michael Oliver's decision to book Son for diving.

"If we are being targeted (by referees), I don't understand why".

New Zealand vs India - Highlights & Stats

"It doesn't mean we can't compete, but for me it doesn't make sense".

Since a very well managed and earned win against Everton at Goodison Park on New Year's Day, it has all gone downhill for the Foxes, bringing Claude Puel back into the red zone where he stood before he casually derailed Chelsea and Manchester City's respective Premier League campaigns.

"We came from a tough Christmas period when the teams in Germany and Spain were enjoying some holidays", he said. Unbelievable, unbelievable, unbelievable. When you compare the situation with the penalty [given] against us, unbelievable.

"It's not going to be an excuse". It's so hard. I'm a person that always accepts the mistake but I think it was so odd, the situation today.

"I think we are talking about one of the best 'keepers in the world, with a lot of experience and having played a lot of games here at Tottenham", Pochettino told his post-match press conference. "The message is not Pochettino is crying", he said.

Leicester's 12th defeat of the season keeps them 12th in the table, and Puel's future is likely to remain under scrutiny.
