The former vice-presidential nominee, who retired in 2013 after being a US Senator for 24 years, insisted that the Democrats will only be losing public support if they adopt, what he called, her "left-left" views as their own.
The New York State Workers' Compensation Board's website also shows that Ocasio-Cortez's campaign carried two other comp policies with the State Insurance Fund.
CNN has reached out to Ocasio-Cortez's spokesperson for comment.
Just kidding, she'll keep on plugging away on the exact social and environmental reforms she has been, which will ultimately do more to save us than Joe Lieberman ever did.
Even some progressives who admire AOC, as she's nicknamed, told Politico that they worry she's not using her notoriety effectively. "There's a difference between being an activist and a lawmaker in Congress".
Lieberman may have served almost 25 years in the Senate - first as a Democrat, and later as an Independent - but he's certainly been lost to history at this point, and the political world is passing him by.
Andy Murray annonce prendre sa retraite cette année
Il a eu des résultats irréels dans une période brutale. "J'espère qu'il pourra finir fort et en bonne santé", a tweeté l'ancien tennisman américain Andy Roddick.
Some House Democrats aren't convinced.
One House member who is trying to mentor Ocasio-Cortez on how to get along and get ahead in Washington is Rep. Nydia Velázquez (D-NY), according to Politico. And establishment Democrats are beginning to become annoyed with her.
"This is basic stuff, especially if you hold yourself out to be the champion of workers", added the Democrat. "People want to see results".
"She's new here, feeling her way around", Rep. Kurt Schrader (D-OR) said. He frequently voted along Republican ideology lines, and post-retirement from the Senate, served as head counsel for the white collar criminal defense and investigations practice at a law firm that did extensive work for Donald Trump and then later failed to mention that as a conflict of interest when necessary.
"I'm focused on my job", Ocasio-Cortez said. "Democrats are insane to be criticizing this woman".
"People are going to have to start paying their fair share of taxes", she said.
