Kentucky police ‘in tears’ after donut truck catches fire

A few police officers in Kentucky had a sense of humor after a truck hauling some tasty treats caught fire Monday.

According to Fox News, the driver noticed his vehicle smoking and was able to escape safely.

It's not clear what caused the accident, but the police department indicated there were no injuries in the accident. Their post included photos of the blackened side of the truck and officers jokingly mourning the truck's loss. The post was shared thousands of times with commenters saying, "Stay strong", and "Condolences".

Police captioned the photos, "No words".

Police departments around the country were quick to send messages of support to their colleagues.

"We feel your loss". We may call a Donut a Gravy Ring here in Northern Ireland but we can still understand your pain. 'We hope you like sprinkles'.

Mississippi's Oxford Police Department also posted their own gif, along with the Southport officers.
