The gunman and two people he killed at a Tallahassee, Florida yoga studio have been identified.

The investigation is ongoing, and police have yet to establish a link between the shooter and the victims and yoga business.

The Tallahassee Police Department posted a photo of the gathering on Facebook with the quote "It holds so much meaning" and the hashtags #TallyStrong and #OurCityOurHome.

He called women "sluts" and "whores" and "lamented "the collective treachery" of girls he went to high school with", Buzzfeed reports.

Alex Redding, a patron at a bar downstairs from the studio, said people came inside seeking assistance, saying a man had been acting strangely inside the yoga studio and then began shooting during the class, the Tallahassee Democrat reported.

Binkley spent this past summer studying at the University of Wuppertal in Germany, the website said, and she found the experience "so rewarding".

Jeff Binkley said that police told him the killing of his daughter was a random act.

Scott Paul Beierle, 40, had also been accused of harassing women and grabbing their bottoms, police say.

He said he received news of the shooting while at a synagogue in South Florida, honoring the 11 people killed last weekend in Pittsburgh.

Authorities are still trying figure out why he mounted the deadly attack.

According to police, Beierle was a Florida State University graduate and had been the "subject of prior calls for service in the Tallahassee area related to harassment of young women". On Saturday, police searched Beierle's home in Deltona and his electronic devices for clues.

Students and members of the community gathered at Wescott on FSU's campus to honor those who were affected by the shooting at the yoga studio on Thomasville Road.

Tallahassee Memorial Hospital has confirmed they were treating five people with gunshot wounds, before one passed away.

Beierle was arrested again in 2016 after allegedly grabbing and slapping the buttocks of a woman at an apartment complex's pool. Records show that the charges were eventually dismissed after Beierle followed the conditions of a deferred prosecution agreement.

The two slain Friday were a student and faculty member at Florida State University, according to university officials.

Police say the shooting happened Friday afternoon in Tallahassee.
