Those numbers aren't incredible, but the fact that McSorley went down with an apparent lower-body injury in the second quarter makes me hesitant to criticize him much at all. The Hawkeyes then drove down the field and were able to score a touchdown on a trick play by a throw from junior punter Colten Rastetter. Despite his low yardage totals, it's hard to argue with that assessment after he battled back from injury. The 1-2 punch of running back Miles Sanders and McSorley could make things extremely hard on the Iowa defense.

Jahan Dotson once again made his presence felt in a reserve role. He's now 3-of-3 passing for 43 yards in his career. Iowa's rangy defensive line is among the top units in the country so offensive coordinator Ricky Rahne may have to get more creative to keep the rush away from McSorley.
With quarterback Alex Hornibrook missing the game because of a concussion and the defense without several injured starters, it was simply a rough afternoon for Wisconsin. Freshman wide receiver KJ Hamler had another strong game, leading the Nittany Lions with 96 receiving yards as well as two kick returns averaging 41 yards. Both teams could really use this game and both teams are going to do what they can to make this game follow their tempo.

Miller had a quieter day with just two tackles, but he didn't even need to have a spectacular day thanks to Gross-Matos' heroics. He nailed a 49-yard attempt later in the third quarter to give the Lions a 10 point lead.
