Seann and Katya have come under criticism from the public after pictures and video were published in The Sun - showing the pair kissing passionately, dancing and laughing after an evening together on Wednesday night.

During Monday's Good Morning Britain, Piers claimed Strictly will now be "awkward" because of the kiss, before calling alcohol a "terrible thing".

"Now they have to carry on dancing with each other".

His co-star Susanna Reid then quipped: "That's why I've given up - and I don't do bad things anymore". We've all had a few drinks and had a kiss, haven't we?'

The British actress shared a lengthy statement with her 5,000 Twitter followers in which she insisted she was "not a victim" and said she had not received an apology from the 32-year-old comedian and Strictly Come Dancing hopeful, who she has been dating for five years. Rebecca simply tweeted to Marian: "Wanna be friends?" on Sunday night, just before Seann and Katya released their apologies on the incident.

She liked one tweet that read: "You seem ace and generally an all round excellent human".

'I thought gosh, I can see why this happens because you go into a completely different space, ' explained the chat show host, who has been married to wife Rachel Schofield for 16 years. Women of the United Kingdom are behind you.

Strictly fans were left shocked as pictures emerged of Seann Walsh kissing dancing partner Katya Jones, during a night out.

Walsh, who is dating actress Rebecca Humphries, posted: "In light of the story in today's newspaper I would like to offer my honest apologies for my actions".

"I wasn't thinking and it was a one-off mistake after some drinks. It's controlling. Tell some very close friends who, if they're anything like my wonderful network, will swoop in and take care of the logistics and of you".

"This is no excuse but it was a one-off drunken mistake which I am truly sorry for".

'I love my husband and we are very happy together, this is not a reflection on our relationship'.
