Twinkle Khanna doesn't want to be called a feminist 'icon'

Twinkle, who launched her latest book Pyjamas Are Forgiving on Friday, was introduced as a "feminist icon" by the event's host, director Karan Johar.

"I am definitely a feminist, but I find the word icon itself slightly troublesome".

While the "Badshaah" starlet definitely identifies herself as a feminist, she expressed displeasure over being called "icon". Anyone who is put on a pedestal is in a risky position because these are very narrow elevated spaces. So I am not any kind of an icon. Which means, Twinkle must have delivered several typically Twinkle statements and what she said about her films is just one such.

Mrs Funnybones Twinkle Khanna has written 3 books until now, one of which had its launch event at a five-star hotel on August 7 in Mumbai.
