The 2018 concert marked the Wacken Festival's 29th year, which saw a sold-out crowd of more than 75,000 people.

The two aging rockers were discovered "disorientated and dazed" at the event - however, they apparently didn't want to leave.

The elderly pair were reluctant to abort their plans and police said they escorted the men's taxi back to the retirement home "as a precaution".

The men allegedly snuck out of their nursing home on Friday to attend Wacken Open Air, the world's largest heavy metal festival.

Authorities told the Deutsche Welle that retirement home personnel had alerted police that the two men were missing. But this year's festival also featured a couple of on-the-run metalheads who were clearly enticed by a stunning bill of bands.

The president also blasted Democrats claiming they're pro-crime specifically calling out California Democrat Maxine Waters. Trump also brought to the stage OH congressman Jim Jordan, calling him "a tough cookie".

Speaking to media organisation Norddeutscher Rundfunk, the spokesperson added: "They obviously liked the metal festival".

Officers were eventually able to persuade the men to leave and they were escorted away with the help of a taxi and patrol auto, according to a police spokeswoman.

But police, sensing the men's reluctance to leave, sent a patrol auto to follow the taxi to make sure there were no mishaps.

Wacken Open Air responded: "Seriously?"
