Possible salmonella contamination causes a number of food recalls in Atlantic provinces

No Name brand chicken nuggets and Christie brand Ritz crackers have been recalled nationwide due to possible Salmonella contamination.

The company says that, while there have been no complaints about illness related to the crackers, they are conducting the recall as a precaution.

Mars Food Canada has issued a voluntary withdrawl on two Uncle Ben's flavored rice products.

If you believe you became sick from consuming a recalled product, seek medical advice.

Healthy people infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.
