Wallets at the ready - Netflix could be about to introduce a new more expensively priced subscription tier that offers the best of the streaming service's features, but at the expense of those already paying top dollar. Known as the "Ultra" plan, it offers 4K Ultra High Definition resolution and supports High Dynamic Range settings as well. Presuming you have an Ultra HD HDR screen to watch it on, the Ultra tier will cost you 16.99 Euro a month, roughly $19.80.
The new subscription tier was first discovered by the Italian website TuttoAndroid.
However, it appears that a new "Ultra" option is being tested which could bring even more features to the popular service. Some reported the Premium package was bumped down to a two screen maximum, while Ultra offered four, but other have reported that the screen limit hasn't changed. Also, the standard plan may also be downgraded to just one screen at a time. Would another price hike encourage you to send the streaming giant packing?
Standard is now €10.99 and Base €7.99. Pricing for the current plans are unchanged in this test, but the way the pricing is structured seems to be a way to disguise the price hike.
"We continuously test new things at Netflix and these tests typically vary in length of time", Netflix said.

If you purchased a new television recently, there's a better-than-good chance that it is a 4K Ultra HD set, as those have become the norm, and not the exception.
Netflix confirmed to CNET it was testing the new tier, stating it is looking at different price points and features to understand how consumers value the service.
And Virgin says that, from October, all new and existing TV customers who don't yet have Netflix will be able to instantly add and pay for it through their Virgin Media bill, giving them an easier way to access thousands more TV shows and movies including original series, documentaries and feature films on Netflix.
The three subscription plans Netflix now offers, basic, standard and premium, cost $7.99, $10.99 and $13.99, respectively.
